






[CAAM: Total Import and Export Value of Automotive Products in March Rose 32.1% MoM]According to data compiled by the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers (CAAM) from the General Administration of Customs, in March 2025, the total import and export value of automotive products reached US$23.82 billion, up 32.1% MoM and down 0.2% YoY. Specifically, the import value was US$3.67 billion, up 3.8% MoM and down 30.4% YoY, while the export value was US$20.15 billion, up 38.9% MoM and up 8.4% YoY. From January to March 2025, the cumulative total import and export value of automotive products nationwide was US$65.14 billion, down 4.6% YoY. [Guangdong: Expanding Automotive Consumption Scenarios]The General Office of the People's Government of Guangdong Province issued the "Implementation Plan for Special Actions to Boost Consumption in Guangdong Province," proposing to expand automotive consumption scenarios. It seeks national support to lead the province in carrying out pilot reforms for automotive circulation and consumption. It supports eligible cities in exploring the establishment of local standards and industry norms for automotive modification, moderately relaxing restrictions on the modification of new energy vehicles for intelligence and racing purposes, vigorously pursuing the hosting of international automotive events, focusing on expanding aftermarket consumption such as car rental and RV camping, and supporting the construction of automotive museums and theme parks. It will continue to implement convenient measures such as "reverse invoicing" for used car sales and cross-regional transaction registration. A used car trading service platform for Guangdong Province will be established to promote transparency in used car information. It supports the transformation of used car brokerage into distribution, cultivates and expands used car business entities, and builds a nationally leading brand of used car distribution enterprises.
